Estimated Historical Tour and Leadership Institute cost per student is approximately $800.00

Eligibility
Completion of GLP Passport Activities & Milestones plus must raise individually and collectively a total of $800.00 by July 20, 2009.  Also must apply and be accepted to the Tavis Smiley Leadership Institute.

 


 


 
This year we started out reading the Biography of Colonel Allen Allensworth we will still read a few significant chapters of his story, however, we also going to focus on increasing our breadth of knowledge around the African American experience.  We will also read the story of Bridgette "Biddy" Mason.

The Afro-American Literature Nonfiction is a book written back in the 1970s just after the victories won during the Civil Rights movement.
